Hoover Dam one of the largest dam in America

Hoover Dam is one of the largest dam in America. It was built between 1931 and 1936 through the Black Canyon and the mighty Colorado River. It is a National Historic Landmark, with outstanding views of the Colorado River, Lake Mead, and the canyons and valleys that surround it. Needless to say, the Hoover Dam is a must see.

The dam is named after Herbert Hoover, the U.S. president, who agreed to the dam constructed to Nevada, California and Arizona could increase irrigation water management and flood waters, hydroelectric power and create . It was built in just five years - an impressive feat, considering the dam is enough concrete to pave a road from New York to California.

Lake Bled Slovenia

Lake Bled, number one tourist attraction in Slovenia is located in the beautiful and mountainous northwest Slovenia. With less than 1 hour drive from Ljubljana and 1.5 hours of Koper is easily accessible and perfect for a half day trip .

Above the lake there is a medieval castle perched on a rocky cliff , from where you can admire the incredible beauty of the lake and the high peaks of the Julian Alps.

Mont Tremblant is a city in the Laurentian mountains of Quebec, Canada, approximately 130 kilometres north-west of Montreal and 140 kilometres north-east of Ottawa. The current municipality with city status was formed in 2000. Mont-Tremblant is most famous for ski resorts such as the Mont-Tremblant Ski Resort, which is 13 kilometres from the village proper, at the foot of a mountain called Mont Tremblant. The largest population centre in Mont-Tremblant is Saint-Jovite.

Cloud Gate A sculpture By Anish Kapoor

Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by British artist Anish Kapoor of Indian origin, which is the centerpiece of the AT & T Plaza in Millennium Park piece in the area of community Loop Chicago, Illinois. The sculpture and AT & T Plaza are located on top of Park Grill, between the Chase Promenade and McCormick Tribune Plaza & Ice Rink. Built between 2004 and 2006, the sculpture is made of 168 stainless steel plates welded together and polished exterior has no visible seams. It measures 33 by 66 by 42 feet , and weighs 110 tons.

Cloud Gate is located between Lake Michigan to the east and the west loop, Grant Park has been Chicago's front yard since the mid 19th century. Its northwest corner, north of Monroe Street and the Art Institute, east of Michigan Avenue, south of Randolph Street and west of Columbus Drive, had been Illinois Central rail yards and parks until 1997, when it was made available for development by the city Millennium Park. For 2007, the park was the second largest tourist attraction in Chicago, Navy Pier behind.

A favorite destination for tourists for its medieval walled town Heritage, Dubrovnik is located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia at the tip of the Isthmus of Dubrovnik.
This rich maritime city has been a trading center since the Middle Ages, after Venice, with its peak in the 15th and 16th centuries. Although Old City was damaged by bombing during the disintegration of Yugoslavia, the renovations have restored their magnificence.

The Great Pyramid in Egypt is the last of the seven wonders of the ancient world. However , a group of lesser-known monuments found in the Boyne Valley in Ireland are thought to be more. Newgrange is best known among them . Its date of construction around 3200 BCE , it would be 600 years older than the pyramids of Giza and 1,000 years older than Stonehenge. There is a cairn or mound of stones water rolled , each of which is between six and nine inches wide. It is about 280 meters in diameter and 44 feet high. Approximately 200,000 tons of materials were used in its construction, and it was estimated it would take a team of about 30 300 years to build . This cairn has 97 large borders at its base, and is surrounded by twelve permanent ones . Some believe that there may have originally been 35 to 38 of these stones. Each is about six feet tall, and they form a circle about 340 feet in diameter around the mound , which is slightly larger than the diameter of Stonehenge.

This passage is located about 30 miles north of Dublin, with similar mounds known as Knowth and Dowth . It is a type of monument known to archaeologists as a passage - the passage tombs or graves. Newgrange and its partner sites provide excellent examples of art, engineering capabilities , and astronomical knowledge of the ancient inhabitants of Ireland.
